    Please help!

Is this just basic "moving the decimal place" math? I need a vote of confidence (or someone to say NO!!)

are micrograms/gram the same as PPM,
    since PPM=mg/kg : 10 to the 6thpower?

Thanks for your help and making this terrific website available. We use it quite frequently.

    Re: micrograms/gram to ppm

    1 microgram = 0.000001 gram
    1 gram = 1 gram

    1 microgram/gram = 0.000001/1 = 1/1000000 = 1 PPM

So yes, microgram/gram is the same as PPM.

How would you convert ppm to micrograms/dL

If I have 0.013 ppm lead level (RBC) what would it be in micrograms/dL?

        Re: micrograms/gram to ppm

        1 ppm = 100 micrograms/deciliter

        0.013 * 100 = 1.3 g/dL

                    1 kg = 1000 g
                    1 g = 1 000 000 g
                    so 1 kg = 10^9 g

Please can you describe the situation? - We are now quite hesitant about answering these questions without the full story, as it really makes a difference depending on what you are trying to achieve. - I've missunderstood and got it wrong often in the past by not asking the right questions first.

                            Hi
I have some results example 0.04 ppm (micrograms)I started with this of a nutrient
                            I add them 0.3ml/200ml treatment/water
and the result was 3.09ppm of the nutrient intake
how can I convert the 0.3ml/200ml to micrograms

                            Thank you
