  • mg/dl to grams

I need to convert 348 MG/DL to ____ Grams per 100 Millileters of urine this is an alcohol urine test.

    Re: mg/dl to grams

Hi, mg/dL means "milligrams per decilitre". A decilitre is 1/10 litre, or 100mL. 348mg is 0.348g. You have 0.348mg/100mL. Note, the case matters, DL may mean something else.

Interesting test - what is it used for? It may not show how drunk a person is, as it would depend how much water and other diluents they had taken?

Somebody please help. This is what I have, for dui case.

        Test

        >alcohol blood

        result 100
        flag H
        result NONE DETECTED mg/dl

Please let me know what this means in terms of dui, and in terms of whole blood vs serum or plasma blood.

              1 mg/dl = 0.01 g/L

              110 mg/dl * 0.01 = 1.1 g/L

                HI
Conversion of 110 mg per dl to gram per liter as below
                110 mg=0.110 gram
                100 ml=1dl
conversion is 1.1 gram per liter

dL is the symbol for deciliter, one-tenth of a liter.

Halo there, my name is Mel,
I wonder how to convert, commonly used: “mg/dl”, in to sugar level meter readings, like: 4.9, 5.5, 5.8 etc.
                        Thank you.

The other common units for blood glucose are millimoles per liter (mmol/L). Divide a reading in mg/dL by 18 for mmol/L. Multiply by 18 to go the other way.

4 dL = 400 mL. If it is water, 400 mL is 400 g. For other liquids if the density is more or less than the density of water, the answer will be different. Multiply by density.
