  • convert kg/hr into lpm - diesel fuel oil

I need to know the conversion factor to convert kg/hr into lpm
    example 1800 kg/hr = ????lpm

Re: convert kg/hr into lpm - diesel fuel oil

I take it lpm = liter per minute

    1800 kg/hr = 30 kg/min

Take kg/min and divide it by the density of the specific diesel fuel oil you looking at. Typically diesel has a density of 0.82 to 0.85 kg/l. Your example can be 35.3 36.6 lpm depending on the density.

      1000 ltr H.S.Diesel = -----kgs.

      Dear sir,
Please provide the weight of 1000 ltr. H.S.Diesel in normal temprature.
Second provide the site detail of H.S.Diesel Density v/s weight chart.

PLease give reply on my mail .
      Thank you.

I'm not sure what H.S diesel is. Typical diesel used in vehicles is aroun 0.84 kg/L, so 840 kg.

However, heavy residual fuels are also called diesel (for large slow industrial engines and boilers) and can have densities up to 1.1 kg/L or so.

You really need to measure the density. Even for a given grade of fuel, it can vary between lots, refineries, etc.

Re: convert kg/hr into litres/hr - diesel fuel oil

My diesel desity is 0.82 gram per cubic cm at 15C. Request your kind advice to convert 1000kg/hr of consumption into litres per hour. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

            0.82 g/cm is also 0.82 kg/L
            1000 kg/h x 1 L/0.82 kg = 1220 L/h

                    Density of diesel fuel can vary lot to lot. Assuming a "typical" value of 0.84 kg/L, 23.1 kg/h x 1 L/0.84 kg = 27.5 L/h.
