Both units are equal, no conversion would be necessary.

    microgram/liter = nanogram/milliliter

        Hi, There are 1000ng in 1 g, and there are 1000mL in 1 L.

        Therefore 0.4ng/mL = 0.04g/L

        Metric is sensible and easy!

could it be simpler to say that it's the same proportion?
                      5 ug/l are the same quantity as 5 ng/ml.
                      that s what i calculated

L-1 is just another way of writing "per liter"
                          It is 100 ng/L
The -1 exponent puts it in the denominator.

So the final answer would then just be 0.1 ug L
