I have the same question as labtek. CK-MB is Creatinine (Phospho) Kinase-Muscle Brain isoenzyme. It is a marker used to help with diagnosis of several cardial pathologies, like acute myocardial infarction. From one lab I have normal ranges 0-24 Unit/L, while another lab is giving 0- 4.55 micrograms/L. I would like to know how to convert from Units to micrograms
1:1 Numeric Correlation to other Methods is NOT the Recommended Approach. Some Assays measure Mass of CKMB using the Unit ng/mL and some Assays measure the activity of CKMB using the Unit IU/L.
** THERE IS NO CONVERSION FACTOR TO CONVERT MASS UNITS TO ACTIVITY UNITS.
can not be converted. these are two different assays. must run the test again. please note that this is a common miatake some ordering physician's offices, lab tech's etc. run into. One is the mass, the other is activity. again they can not be converted.
