You have to convert RPM to radians per sec, 2*pi*RPM/60
Putting it all together
HP = (2*pi)*T*RPM/(60*550) = T*RPM/5252.113

Re: How to convert Revolution per Minute(RPM)
I tried that formula in the program QBasic and it didn't work.
How would you do this?
This is a question that might help some users.
I couldn't find anything so far in my search.....
Please help!

John's answer is correct. The short version of the formula is:
Horsepower = Torque * RPM / 5252.113
where Torque is in FtLb and RPM is in revolutions per minute. The formula should work just fine in QBasic.
