The pound is legally defined as 0.453 592 37 kg

    so 5000 IU/lb x 1 lb/0.45359237 kg = 11023 IU/kg

Presumably "K" (should be lower case) is used in its metric prefix sense, meaning 1000. So divide by 1000, for vitamin A, 800 kIU/lb. Debatable whether it is correct to use metric prefixes with non-metric units, but that is probably the intent.

m is the symbol for milli- or 1/1000 so 0.0066138 IU/kg
