    hi can somebody help me with this:

    im researching this for 2 weeks now and still cant get any answers.

    how to compute cubic meter to metric tons the commodity is skin milk please help me
    for example i have 25 cbm how can i get the metric tons
    my commodity is skin milk powder :-s

    Thanks for identifying the material. The conversion between weight and volume is material specific. Also, the density of powders varies a bit depending on how it is prepared. Two databases I like give slightly different numbers. (Both have links in our resources section.)

    The USDA database gives a value of 0.51 g/cm for powdered, nonfat milk. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

    This reference for powder and bulk density http://www.powderandbulk.com/resourc...ty_chart_m.htm gives 0.56 g/cm.
    I will use the USDA figure as it is reported to their database by US manufacturers, but be aware the figure can vary slightly.

    If the density is 0.51 g/cm, it is also 0.51 t/m.
    25 m x 0.51 t/m = 13 t (rounded). Note that the higher density would give 14 t, so don't expect perfect precision.
