  • Testosterone ng/ml to [ng/dl] and [nmol/N]?

    Hello
i did Testosterone blood test and i would like to know how i can convert the results:

    Total test: [4.3 ng/ml] in [ng/dl] and[nmol/N]?
    Free test: [0.37 nmol/l] in [pg/ml]?

im not sure if this is going to help but:
A testosterone test checks the level of this male hormone (androgen) in the blood.

    Thanks so much>

    A decilliter (dL) is 0.1 L or 100 mL, so 4.3 ng/mL = 430 ng/dL.

To convert between grams and moles, you need to know the molar mass, which is equal to the molecular weight of the molecule. For testosterone, it is 288.42 g/mol. I'm not sure what you meant by "N." The normal international way of stating it is in nmol/L
    4.3 ng/mL x 1000 mL/L x 1 mol/288.42 g = 14.9 nmol/L

    0.37 nmol/L x 288.42 g/mol = 107 ng/L = 107 pg/mL
