    Can you tell me how to convert a flow rate of 3.6kg/s of natural gas into m3/h

    I did some searching and found that Natural Gas has a specific gravity of approximately 0.6 which means 0.6 times the density of air (1.29 kg/m), which gives it a density of about 0.774 kilograms/cubic meter

    kg/s / 0.774 kg/m = m/s
    m/s * 3600 = m/h

    In your case:
    (3.6 / 0.774) * 3600 = 16744.186 m/h

          Can you please covert a Flow transmitter instrument range for me and verify the size of the orrife plate
          Range 4600 to 11110 Kg/h convert to m3
          Natural gas
          Operating temp. 30.6 Dgc
          Operating Pressure 34.8 barg
          Density 34.9kg/m3
          Viscosity at Operating conditions 0.012 cp
          Compressibility 0.87
          Cp/Cv 1.20
          Line size 6"
          Pipe ID 5.761
          Present orifice size 76 mm

              Hi David, if you are really dealing with 11tonne per hour of flammable gas, you need to get this properly engineered and certified, not get the opinions of fallible strangers on the net.

                  kg/s to m3/hr

                  = 353/(273+ Temperature of gas)

                  m3/hr = (kg/s / above given ans) x 3600

                  thats covert in m3/hr
