Powder and Bulk Density site says 18 lb/ft³.

    http://www.powderandbulk.com/resourc...ty_chart_d.htm

So multiply cubic feet by 0.009 ton/ft³

It's going to depend on the ingredient. Powdered lead is heavier than powdered foam.

Just multiply by the density in pounds per cubic foot. That varies by the substance, so you either have to look it up or measure it.

We are putting in a gas generator and the meter is a 7 inch meter but we want to upgrade it to a 2 lb meter. What is the difference in the meters AND how much is 1 cubic foot of natural converted to pounds?

                          360 ft³ x 1728 in³/ft³ x 1 bu/2150.42 in³ = 289.3 bushels
USDA (and CBOT for futures and spot commodity trading) assume a standard of 32 lb/bu for oats. However, this varies with grain quality and moisture contnet. Using this figure, 9257 lb.

My office sells auto parts to rednecks. If I want to convert 20 lbs of redneck auto parts into cases of beer, how many rednecks will I need for each auto part?

Multiply by the density in pounds per cubic foot. If the density is in other units, you'll have to convert. Note that lead and feathers have different density, so the answer depends on 5.1 ft³ of WHAT?
