The density of water varies with temperature, so the conversion does too; it also varies with local gravity. Most people use a "conventional" conversion based on max density at 4 °C, and standard gravity at about 45° latitude, and ignore the roughly half percent variation from equator to poles.
That is 1 mm H2O = 9.80665 Pa
For real water in real gravity, "your water may vary." It might be better to use 9.8 and admit water gauge has no real precision.

Hi, there are various tests for batteries.
I hope you are referring to the capacity test.
Normal capacity test:-
connect a suitable load resistor and an ammeter and a volt meter.
You also have fabricated capacity testers with energy meter.
discharge the battery to its minimum permissible volt per cell.
stop the test when any one cell voltage drops below 1.8V (typical for LA Batt)
Amps X hours give you AH.
Another short cut method is to use a heavy discharge cell/Batt tester.
momentary heavy discharge is done with high load resistor (dissipates heat).
easy read scale with green /red markings available.
