Between HRC 31 and 40 the formula for an average estimate is
HB=8.570*HRC27.6
the formula changes as the rockwell scale rises, obviously because the brinell scale is linear, while the rockwell scale is exponential.

I beleive this should read HB=8.570*HRC + 27.6
Since i'm not registered i cant post links.
Google "HRC to HB kennametal". A pdf kennametal posted will be found that has the ranges and formulae.
Also, google "HRC to HB ISO 18265" Vitkovice cylinders posted a conversion table taken from ISO 18265.

I do not know what HBW is but here is a good place to start:

The symbol for Brinell is HB or BHN.
