    There is no general conversion, because you need to know two more pieces of information, Fabric comes in various widths, and you need to know the area of a linear yard of fabric. Second, you need to know the density of the fabric; usually areal density is measured, grams per square meter, or gsm. I don't know what if any customary units are used.

    Anyway a yard is 0.9144 m, so I would measure the width of the fabric in meters, find the areal density in gsm, then
    0.9144 m x width(m) x areal density(gsm) x 1 kg/1000 g
    will give you the weight in kilograms of a one linear yard piece

      I've try to cut one yard(36") then i got result of the weight is 0.27kg .
      Anyway thank you sir for your explaining
