    M is shorthand for moles per liter so 20 mM means 20 mmol/L. You must decide how much solution you wish to make up. Lets assume 1 L

    20 x 10-3 mol/L x 74.5513 g/mol = 1.491 g/L

    Measure out 1.491 g of KCl , dilute to a final volume of 1 L. (You'll need to add about a liter of water, but always measure the final volume not the solvent added.
