  • Changing scale conundrum

Hi - I need some help! Iíve reduced a 1:75 drawing and a 1:100 Both from A3 to A4. What scale are they now?? Particularly confused by 1:75 reduction. Thanks for any help.

Going from A3 to A4 is a reduction by the sqrt(2), so the denominator gets multiplied by the sqrt(2), 1 :75 becomes 1:106.07 (given variability of paper 1:106 is good enough), and 1:100 becomes 1:141.4. size reduction always results in messy inconvenient numbers. Two sizes A3 to A5 would give 1:150 and 1:200 but might be too small to read.
