How to convert nanogram / Jol to ppm ?

  • #2
What is Jol? Google does not tell me much about it except it might be "Jatropha oil-based polyol" and "Jatropha-based polyol have equivalent weight between 313 and 375 g/mol"

These are not compatible units. If we knew the complete context we might be able to help, but you may need a lot more information.

Complete guess on my part, but I am guessing this may be nanograms of some pollutant per joule of energy, either thermal from combustion, or the mechanical output of some thermal engine. Ppm is the ratio of the pollutant to the total exhaust of the process, and you would need a measure of that exhaust. For compliance purposes, to prevent mixing with large amounts of excess air to meet a number, it is usually specified with some reduced O2 percentage in the exhaust, which depends on the type of engine and the legislation with which you must comply.
