  • Trying to covert %mol/mol into ppm

    Hello everyone.
I'm trying to calibrate an Oxymeter with span gas cylinder. The meter requires ppms but on the cylinder I have %mol/mol.

    It's a 20l container with nitrigen ballance.

For gases, ppm is by molar ratio, micromoles per mol (µmol/mol). Since percents are parts per hundred, just multiply by 10000
        100 mol% = 1 million ppm (the whole thing)
        1 mol% = 10000 ppm

I was thinking is 4016ppms but is this applied for 1l or for my 20liters for 150bar pressure? The other thing is that when I start the span gas flow thru the Oxymeter shows only 10ppms

This could be due to several reasons such as incorrect calibration of the oximeter, low battery level, incorrect placement of the sensor, or a malfunctioning sensor. You can try recalibrating your oximeter and checking if it’s placed correctly. If that doesn’t work, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for assistance.
